JET BOAT RIDE - HAMILTON DEPARTURE

Our captain has a 30' rigid inflatable boat with a jet drive and a great sense of humor. Those two qualities go far on and around an island like Bermuda. He has also recognized the two main ports on the island and has set up two different tours to accommodate those locations.

For your Hamilton tour, you can find him easily waiting for you on the waterfront ready to take you for a spin. He will take you along the shoreline in a southwesterly direction past some interesting homes and fill you with stories about them as you head for Hinson Island. That's the island where Hezekiah Frith, a privateer in the early 1700's, built his home. You will see the water-collection system on Bermuda that is attached to every home and that will truly make you appreciate every drop out of your spout at home. On to Darrell's Island and through a channel as you meander in this comfortable boat around the maze of little islands to Long Island. No, you aren't in New York, but you are probably in the middle of listening to the history of the graveyard of the Dutch prisoners.

You'll have lots of Kodak moments, including the sight of Spanish Point and the Royal Naval Dockyard from where you sit. As your route turns into a circle, you will hear the tales of the rich and famous who have and still do live on the island, and you will be able to view many of their homes only visible from the water.
