UNDERWATER WALK AND REEF SAFARI

This business has been handed down from father to son and the son has only improved on it. It truly is the one and only way to feel like you are scuba diving but it comes without fear. It is perfect for any age as long as you remember to breathe!

The captain and his crew will be ready for you when you arrive and board his classy dive boat. It was custom-built in Florida and includes a glass bottom, which gives you some "insight" into what its all about.

During the 20-minute ride to the reef, you will be instructed on the workings of the helmet and all you can expect during this tour, including information about the creatures you will meet. As the boat is properly positioned, you will be arranged in groups of 6 or 7 for your dives. Those left behind can watch through the glass bottom or stretch out on deck and name the clouds floating by.

The dive itself takes 25 minutes and, once you are all in the water, you'll all grasp a PVC pole and move together as a group. The captain has befriended several fish to whom you will be introduced - Oliver the Grey Snapper, Charles the Hogfish, Franklin the Moray Eel, an Angelfish called Diana - they will all come out to meet and greet. Your captain will be ready to snap your photo with his friends, which you can purchase for an extra charge.

When the temperature is below 80 degrees, wetsuits and hot chocolate are provided. The boat itself has a spacious cabin, bathroom and changing facilities, and a sunbathing area with a partial canopy. All in all, it's a perfect encounter.

Special Instructions

Bring sunblock, a swimsuit and towel and a change of clothing for the return trip. Bring extra money if you would like to purchase a photo of your self with one of the wonderful undersea creatures or purchase snacks on board the boat.

Restrictions

Children should be at least 5 years old. If you have a choice of days to take this trip, wait until you are in Hamilton or the Dock Yards. The taxi ride is much shorter and much less expensive.
